Celebrate Independence Day at Nash Farm Park

independence-day-fireworksWith scenes of the Revolution, Native American camp and crafts, fireworks and much more, Nash Farm Park provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends while experiencing a taste of American history. Children will enjoy interacting with the strolling actors as well as typical children festival activities such as face painting and pony rides. Live performances will be provided by Deep Forest Native American Indian Program, Tunes of the Battlefield, Mackie Creek Band (7/3), The Regulars, McDonough Rhythm Section (7/4) and more. The celebration will be held July 3 and July 4 from 3:00 p.m. until dark with a firework extravaganza each night. Admission to the event is $5 for adults, $2 for children (ages 6-12) and children five and under free.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt at Nash Farm Park

bunny-and-easter-eggsWith Easter less than two weeks away it is time to start celebrating with Easter egg hunts, pictures with the Easter Bunny and lots of jelly beans. This Saturday take your children to Nash Farm Park’s Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt. Admission is FREE to the event which lasts from 5:30 p.m. to sundown with the little kids (ages 2 -6) hunting eggs begining at 7:00 p.m. and the older kids (ages 6-12) hunting eggs after the sun goes down. In addition to the Easter egg hunt, your children will enjoy inflatables, face painting, games and concessions. Disney Radio will also be in attendance from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. playing music and giving away prizes. (more…)
