Thursday, April 1st, 2010
On Saturday, March 27th the Heron Bay Community Association and the Heron Bay Social Committee hosted its Annual Easter Extravaganza at the Lakefront Park, a 5-acre park that sits on the shores of the 1,100 acre Cole Reservoir in Henry County. Residents of the Atlanta golf community were invited to bring their families and enjoy an afternoon of Easter egg hunts, food, games and contests.
The day began at 11 a.m. and was packed with baskets of fun until 2 p.m. The Easter egg hunts started at 12 p.m. and the kids of all age groups had a blast hunting for the most eggs and the one egg containing a gold coin for a special prize. All the kids received goodie bags filled with toys and treats for their participation.
After hunting for eggs, the games and contests started right away. The kids, and even adults, enjoyed the hula hoop contest with a “Simon Says” twist. (more…)
