Among the 300 participants that gathered at master planned community, Heron Bay Golf & Country Club for the most successful Goblin Gallop was a group of around 50 individuals from Henry County Weight Watchers groups.
One local woman and lifetime Weight Watchers member Toni Coryell, motivated and organized the group to participate in the 2009 Goblin Gallop. Toni made it a personal goal to involve herself in the Goblin Gallop back in 2007. Then in 2008 she challenged 25 Weight Watchers members to take part in the 6K This year the participation of Weight Watchers Team doubled.
“It is becoming an annual thing for me personally,” said Toni Coryell. “Not just to participate in it myself, but to encourage others who thought they could NEVER finish a 6K to make that first step. (more…)

I really want to say thank you to all of my neighbors here at Heron Bay for pulling together and helping out Noah’s Ark. On three different Saturdays – August 9th, August 16th and September 22nd – the Community Liaison Committee collected donations from residents for the animal rehabilitation center at Noah’s Ark. And when I say animals, I don’t mean cats and dogs. Noah’s Ark is home to exotic animals like the ones (more…)
