The Town Center at Heron Bay has a new addition that is something the entire family can benefit from - a hair salon. C Changes Hair Studio is  a full services salon that features a family atmosphere and specializes in haircuts for clients of all ages. The studio opened for business on September 1st, so it’s very possible that some of your neighbors have already been there. On Saturday, August 9th, August 16th & September 20th from 10AM—12PM the Heron Bay Community Liaison Committee will be collecting donations for Noah’s Ark. Noah’s Ark is a rehabilitation center for over 1,000 animals. The non-profit organization, located in Locust Grove, also serves as a home for children up to 18 years old. Noah’s Ark relies on donations to keep the facility running. If donations are not plentiful animals in need of rehabilitation must be turned away. In 2007, 1,289 animals could not be taken in because of lack of funding.

Be sure to stop by the Lodge in the Atlanta golf community on any of the dates mentioned above to make a donation to the Ark. They need animal feed and toys, school supplies, childrens DVD’s and outdoor toys for the children. Gift cards to Walmart, grocery stores and restaurants are also welcome, along with other monetary donations. Heron Bay’s Town Center is really coming along, making life at the Atlanta golf community a little more convenient. Without even needing a car, residents at Heron Bay can stroll over to Town Center to grab a bite to eat, do a little leisurely shopping, get some medical help and, now, do a little banking. That’s right, opening later this summer at the Town Center of Heron Bay is a full service branch of the First National Bank of Griffin. The 3,600 square foot bank is located on Highway 155 at the entrance to Heron Bay Golf and Country Club at the Town Center. First National Bank of Griffin at Heron Bay will offer consumer and commercial loans, real estate mortgages, all types of deposit accounts, lobby and drive-through banking, 24-hour Automated Teller Machines and brokerage products. The Heron Bay location will provide convenient access for both Heron Bay residents and travelers along Highway 155. It’s definitely an added benefit to have the addition of this well-respected financial institution at Heron Bay, and, bear in mind that it is only one tiny aspect of the Town Center at Heron Bay.
