A Focus on Giving Back at Heron Bay
Having a strong sense of community and giving back to those less fortunate is important to the residents of master-planned community, Heron Bay Golf & Country Club.
This winter, residents of Heron Bay gathered together to give back to the Henry County Community, launching two different holiday giving campaigns. Earlier in the month, residents donated over 1,000 cans of food for 3 local non-profit organizations during the annual Heron Bay Food Drive.
Recognizing that more families than normal would be going without Christmas this year, the residents of Heron Bay took their holiday giving efforts a step further, beginning a Heron Bay Giving Tree.
The Giving Tree was incredibly successful, residents gathered clothing, linens, household and toiletry items for the women and children at The Haven House in McDonough. The Haven House is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by domestic violence and is just one of the many local charities Heron Bay residents helped over the past year. As the Heron Bay community continues to develop and grow so does its philanthropic efforts and outreach. Thanks to the generosity and efforts of the Heron Bay community we were able to help more people and raise more money for charity than ever before.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated to one of the many causes we supported this year, we couldn’t have done it without you!
