A Cotton Pickin’ Good Time at Southern Belle Farm

CottonIf you’re looking for a family friendly fall activity you should check out Southern Belle Farm. Located in McDonough, this old fashioned cotton farm has plenty of activities all designed to provide a cotton pickin’ good time for all ages.

This fall the lineup includes hayrides, pumpkin patch, pig races a kiddie korral, corn cannon, barnyard animals, cow train, pedal carts,  corn maze and of course some good old fashioned cotton pickin’.

In addition to all there everyday fun activities, Southern Belle Farm will also be hosting various events each Saturday for the rest of the month. This weekend make sure to check out Farm Heritage Day. Southern Belle will be taking guests back to a ’simpler time’ and showcase old farming and pioneer-life techniques, farm implements, antique tractors and more.

The 24th of October will be full of events. Fall Family Fun Day is set take place in the morning and this extra special Saturday will feature lawn mower racing and a pumpkin carving contest judged by DOODLE the clown. Evening activities will consist of Haunted Hayrides, which will begin at dark and continue until 11 p.m.

Not sure what to do on Halloween? Southern Belle Farm will be running Haunted Hayrides Halloween night. The rides will begin at dark and run through 11 p.m.

    Sounds like a good thing to do for a family event, educational and fun. The fall line-up has a lot going on, seems like you could visit the farm and spend half-a-day doing different activities.
