Residents of Heron Bay Golf and Country Club welcomed the holiday season at their annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008. Approximately 150 residents socialized with neighbors while enjoying an assortment of holiday treats as Christmas carols filled the air. Children and adults alike had the opportunity to take pictures with Santa, enjoy a reading of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” and win giveaways such as Ultra Diamonds gift bags, poinsettias, Canongate golf gift certificates and much more.

Without a doubt, the Holiday Open House is a favorite event at Heron Bay, which would explain the amazing turnout this year. While the social activities director works hard year-round to provide residents with new and fun events, the Holiday Open House is one that residents look forward to. It is great fun for the whole family. The children really enjoy making ornaments and seeing Santa and the adults really enjoy the friendship and wonderful food. Great job Heron Bay, we can’t wait until next year!
