One great aspect about Heron Bay is that it is full of hidden treasures available only to residents of the Atlanta golf community. We’ve definitely touched on a few of these, especially the amenities, but I think it’s time to elaborate on just how special it is to be a homeowner at Heron Bay.

Being a resident of Heron Bay Golf and Country Club means enjoying state-of-the-art amenities exclusive to the large master-planned community. When someone says amenities, many people think swimming pool and tennis courts, but at Heron Bay it is so much more than that. For example, it’s not just a swimming pool, but an entire aquatic center with waterslides, waterfalls, two pools and more. The community does have lighted tennis courts, but also has a play park, sports field, neighborhood parks and other recreational fields. This extraordinary community has miles of walking trails that will take you all over the community - pass the lakes, golf course and to the Cole Reservoir. And, of course, the 18-hole Cannongate golf course. Canongate at Heron Bay is a challenging 7,300-yard professionally designed 18-hole golf course winding through the community.

This golf course is not just for play, but also is the venue of many community events. Heron Bay hosts many fantastic special events and activities available only to homeowners. Just in the last year, Canongate has hosted events such as a “screen on the green” movie night, luaus, trivia nights and low country boils. Thanks to the active social committee with a full-time Events/Activities Coordinator assigned to plan special events throughout the year, residents are able to connect with their neighbors in fun and exciting ways. As you well know residents have the option of attending events like “Jazz Night by the Pool” or “70’s Disco Night.”
